One influence was my Grandfather, who used it to build sophisticated fishing poles and kept some stock of bamboo poles around even after he switched to glas- and later carbon fibre poles. Around 2010 I got really fascinated after seeing a documentation about the Green School Building in Bali, which led me to J\u00f6rg Stamm a german carpenter who emigrated to Colombia and applied (and adapted) his carpentry skills to use bamboo poles instead of wooden beams.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0 2016 I had the opportunity to visit a bamboo building workshop given by J\u00f6rg Stamm in Puebla \/ Mexico. After the workshop I visited a bamboo nursery in Veracruz where I purchased 5 Bambusa Oldhamii\u00a0 and 5 Guadua Angustafolia seedlings. Susanne Lucas was visiting the workshop and the nursery at the same time.
